When visitors leave comments on this site, I collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string. This information is collected solely to help with spam detection and site security.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here:

After your comment is approved, your profile picture (if associated with Gravatar) may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

I do not use comment data for marketing, profiling, or analytics beyond basic moderation and security.

Media

If you upload images to this website, you should avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site may be able to download and extract any location data from images posted publicly.

I do not intentionally add or extract location metadata from uploaded media.

How long I retain your data

If users register on this site (if registration is enabled), the personal information provided in their user profile is stored. Users may view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except for their username. I can also view and edit that information as the site administrator.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including data you provided.

You may also request that I erase your personal data. This does not include data I am required to retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
