One possible extension is whether historical dependence itself can serve as a differential observable, rather than only emerging as a consequence of organizational closure. Two systems with comparable organizational topology might still differ in how much predictive information their histories contribute to future dynamics. If this can be measured, it could complement closure by distinguishing organizational regimes that would otherwise appear structurally similar. A cross-domain observable of this kind could strengthen the empirical program without introducing another metaphysical layer.
